Christmas fairy-tale on the water

Strasbourg’s Christkindlmärik, or Christmas Market is world-famous. Viewing the city in all its Christmas finery from a panorama boat is a very special experience. Especially for children, because this year they can discover Strasbourg with an exciting audio play.
Father Christmas himself comes on board because he has lost his elves, and the boat’s captain, ex-pirate Hans Trapp, his parrot Coco and all the children help him to look for them. Have they got lost in the back streets of the Old Town? Have they climbed up the tower of the Cathedral? Or are they hiding in the European Quarter? And is reindeer Berti, who insists on joining the search party more of a hindrance than a help?

Tour boat company Batorama commissioned tonwelt to produce this audio play. Laurence Barbasetti as author, Patrice-Luc Doumeyrou as the French Father Christmas and director Klaus Kowatch bring a wealth of experience ranging from children’s theater to dubbing for cartoons and video games to get the Strasbourg boats moving: the one-hour long trip seems to fly by.
