Salone No. 4 sets standards – daydream with tonwelt
Do you normally find interior furnishing rather boring? Salone No. 4 in Lindau, on Lake Constance, proves that a show dedicated to stylish living can be an inspiring experience. Here, where Germany, Austria and Switzerland meet, the company Thomann und Birk (TUB) and Stuttgart-based Ranger Design have created a unique display environment of over 45,000 square metres, all about domestic furnishings and sophisticated interior design. Salone No. 4 sets new standards in another way, too, by offering an audio guide by
tonwelt. The stimulating and informative audio tour provides visitors with interesting background facts about the manufacturers whose products are presented at Salone No. 4.
And that isn’t everything: at the heart of the exhibition is the ‘TUB Bath World’. This contains all of seventy fully furnished bathroom designs. The unique selling proposition of this presentation is its concentration on the main keywords of modern design: the themes of colour, material, form, the senses, light and function provide the framework for presenting a wide range of design ideas and individually tailored solutions. The practical aspects of planning and installing a bathroom are not forgotten either.
The team from Ranger Design has populated the exhibition space with elegant cubes, each housing a particular theme – and in the avenues between them there is also plenty to discover, such as the intriguing history of taking baths. Of course, there are heaps of ideas and suggestions for designing and planning the bathroom of your dreams. After all, the bathroom is a place to relax and pamper yourself in – one of the most important rooms in the house!
