Gloucester City Walks

Gloucester
With its great location and Roman roots, Gloucester, the capital of Gloucestershire, has a lot to offer. Nestled between the idyllic Cotswolds and the Bristol Channel, the former industrial  and commercial city is also part of the European Route of Industrial Heritage, making it one of the most popular destinations in the southwest of England.

Visitors currently have a choice of two different audio guided tours through the historical city centre, and soon four more will be available. Issued by the Gloucester Civic Trust along with  a richly illustrated pamphlet, the tours lead listeners through the city's winding streets: past the mounted statue of Emperor Nerva and the massive, spectacular St. Michael’s Tower on an entertaining journey through the fascinating history of the city.
